This online course was developed by the Central East Addiction Technology Transfer Center (CEATTC), which is funded by a cooperative agreement from the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Linda Kaplan, Executive Director of the Danya Institute, is the Project Director of the CEATTC and had ultimate responsibility for directing the development of this online course.

Peer review. Bruce Lorenz, CADC, provided an expert peer review of the course. Mr. Lorenz is the Director of Thresholds, Inc., an outpatient addiction treatment program in southern Delaware.

Course development. Through a contract with the Danya Institute, Danya International prepared the text as an online course, programmed the course for the Web, and conducted quality assurance processes. Mim Landry, Director of Medical and Science Communication, managed the course development processes.
