What the Module Covers

This module provides information about Federal TANF requirements and how States implement these requirements. In addition, the module includes two worksheets designed to help you process this information.

The first set of worksheets is designed to help you develop a reference profile of TANF requirements of the State in which you provide treatment services. The second set of worksheets is designed to help you develop TANF profiles for individual clients. The latter worksheets will help you monitor your client's progress with TANF requirements, a critical task because of the multiple ticking clocks.

TANF requirements are complex. They address a broad range of issues. If you are not familiar with the TANF requirements in your State, it is important that you first read the didactic sections provided in this module. This will help prepare you to complete the worksheet about your State requirements. In turn, the State requirements worksheet will serve as a reference point for you to complete a TANF profile for an individual client.
